7. Brief description of the functions School of Business Environment : Enhancing capacity in the understanding of Competition Law & Policy is the aim of the School of CL&MR. Various interactive events such as workshops, seminars, roundtables on specific themes relating to competition are conducted in addition to the regular teaching and training courses to enable participatory learning. Induction Training and advanced Professional Programmes for officers of the Competition Commission of India are the main programmes of the School. The course focuses on providing support in the understanding and evaluation of existing and proposed regulations. This enables a stronger Competition Impact Assessment in various economic sectors in the context of the proposed National Competition Policy through the expertise

provided by the School.

7. Brief description of the functions School of Corporate Law : SCL provides for policy insights into government legislation on the edifice of current epoch of rapid economic expansion and strategic knowledge dissemination.

The SCL at IICA, equipped with its state-of-the-art technological aids and pool of highly acclaimed academicians and professionals in the field of corporate laws aims at creating a programmed ecosystem for knowledge dissemination, research and advisory consulting, policy drafting and analysis.

The School undertakes critical knowledge dissemination spread across corporate and other relevant laws so as to contribute to greater understanding of corporate systems amongst government policy makers and administrators as well as regulators. The School actively encourages and facilitates the development of customized capacity building that enables company management and professionals to discharge their regulatory compliance responsibilities with

ease and fervor.

Brief description of the functions School of Corporate Governance & Public Policy : The School of Corporate Governance & Public Policy has been set up with a vision to provide knowledge and expertise to meet the challenges of inclusive and sustainable corporate operation and growth. Corporate Governance is now an integral part of corporations, and with focus shifting from regulation to delivery, it is essential to promote responsible behaviour for shared value creation in society.Approach and Objective of the School are to contribute towards better understanding of corporate management and governance issues; management expertise is a key requirement for private as well as state owned enterprises, and the School draws upon the management and governance experience of its faculty to create a dynamic system for exchange of ideas and information; to facilitate global knowledge expertise for local applications, and in turn promote best corporate governance practices from India at the international forum; to create a global network of partnership and linkages with the  best  of  related  institutions  and  organisations  both  at operational and academic level; to advance and support government bodies, corporate entities and professional through advisory solutions, capacity building Programmes and specialised training that enable good governance in the operational business; and to create an environment for systemic reforms as well as initiate plans and Programmes for cumulative change within and outside organizations.

Brief description of the functions School of Business Environment : Understanding the business environment implies the inclusive study of economic trends, financing options, developments in technology, legal and business environments. The School focuses on the study and analysis of emerging business environments, trends and future scenarios so as to facilitate the drawing up of policy frameworks and administrative systems and to enable debate on appropriate strategies and structures that promote creativity and entrepreneurship in business. Development of new technologies has always been at the heart of economic growth and business development. The School constantly scans developments in emerging technologies and uses the information as input for the various training programmes of IICA. Business sustainability in environmental terms has become the centre point of business strategy and vast resources are being earmarked for ensuring energy security and  availability  for  sustained  development  and  economic growth. The School monitors all such initiatives in order to explore possibilities of business development in areas of energy sustainability. The SOBE aims to facilitate basic understanding of the issues involved so as to be able to render appropriate strategic and policy advice to Government and Corporate Sector
